Japanese Red Maples

Although unplanned, we ended up being in Japan during fall foliage season and had the opportunity to see the leaves change to beautiful hues of yellow, orange and red. Rather than bore you, we’ll let the pictures do the rest of the talking!

Here are a few of our favorite photos from Arashiyama Park in Kyoto, Isuien Garden in Nara, and Mount Wakakusa in Nara.

Peter, great pictures; we just got back a few weeks ago from New Hampshire and the colors there are full-on; if you took out the Japanese buildings from your photos you would be hard pressed to tell the difference.
Not sure about that whole 10 day/no interaction/meditation thing; good luck with that and look forward to hearing how that works out! Happy Thanksgiving from Virginia.

Thanks, Bruce! We said the same thing. The foliage reminded us a lot of the Northeast. We just left the meditation retreat earlier today – it was quite the experience! Stand by for a video with details. Best wishes and a happy holiday season to you and your family!
